Updated Guidance for In-house Solicitors
Thursday 28th November 2024, 4.00 p.m.
The SRA is publishing updated guidance for in-house solicitors, who account for around a quarter of all solicitors. It addresses the unique challenges and issues facing in-house solicitors working across a range of employers and sectors. The guidance was developed following requests from the profession and issues identified in a thematic review and covers a range of areas including identifying the client, reporting concerns of wrong-doing and legal professional privilege. Alongside the updated guidance, the session will also cover other areas of the SRA’s work to support in-house solicitors.
We invite in-house practitioners in the City to hear directly from Juliet Oliver, the SRA’s General Counsel and Deputy Chief Executive.
The session will be held at the offices of Linklaters LLP, One Silk Street, London EC2Y 8HQ.
Email: Liz.Thomas@clls.org to book.
If there are any other topics or issues on which you would like to hear from the SRA, please let us know in advance.
