I joined the Company some twenty years ago when I was a trainee solicitor through being invited to take part in the Company’s entry in the Lord Mayor’s show. I didn’t realise it would be possible for me as a lawyer to also become involved in the civic side of the City with its history and traditions – how wrong I was. I went on to organise the Company’s float for many years.
As one of the Company’s stewards, I chair the Company’s Whittington Livery Events and Membership committee which is responsible for a number of different workstreams, including putting on a variety of events to appeal to the diverse lawyers who make up our membership, as well as providing opportunities for our members to be involved in livery movement more widely.
