Affiliations

Our military affiliations go back a long time with the Army Legal Services and ‘our’ Cadet unit.

We stand shoulder to shoulder with our fellow lawyers who serve within the military. We often think our job is stressful and may be defined by how many millions a deal is worth or how we may be making new law. But few of us can say our advice is a matter of life and death. But that is genuinely the case with military lawyers who are increasingly relied on by commanders to make impossibly difficult decisions, always now in the glare of the media.

We have huge admiration for what they do to uphold the values that this country, its military and the legal profession hold so dear, courage, integrity and respect for others. We do not claim that, as a profession, we can always match the loyalty, discipline and selfless commitment of our military counterparts in upholding the rule of law but that is what sets them apart as members of our Armed Forces and makes us proud
