She spent her early career working for Lloyds Bank and then joined Smithfield Market Tenants Association in 1995, where she was introduced to the Corporation of London and the City Livery Companies.

Julie received Freedom of the City of London in 1998 and worked with several City of London Livery Companies for many years, in an employed and self-employed capacity, whilst running a PA / VA business.

Julie joined the Worshipful Company of Poulters in April 2015, as their Clerk, a role she was thrilled to have, as she has always been fascinated with the historic and interesting world of the City Livery Companies. Julie retired as Clerk in March 2023 and was honoured with the title Clerk Emeritus.
